When you have large piles of documents, you may find yourself scattering them all over your table, trying to place them in a particular order. This can happen with digital documents as well. If you fail to organize the files properly, you will have a hard time finding them. The mechanics behind eDoc Organizer is simple, but it will help you organize your documents with greater efficiency. You can place anything, from phone bills to important certificates, in the same list. The application lets you associate various labels with your files and use them to filter them.

The software's setup file is almost 20 Mb large, which may be a bit problematic for slower Internet connections. When you run it, you will have to wait a few more seconds, until the software's components are downloaded. All you have to do, during the entire process, is click an install button.

You can load any type of document from your hard drive or import one, using a scanner. They are displayed as thumbnails, on eDoc Organizer's interface and you can filter them to show only a specific file format. The software's main feature is the possibility of labeling your documents. A series of color coded labels are listed on the right side of the interface and you just need to drag and drop one or more labels over your documents.

By default, you will find labels for electric, gas, phone and water bills, as well as labels for each month of the year. You may create new labels, organize them in different groups and associate them with a color, with the options above the existing labels. It is also possible to filter your documents by their labels. For example, if you want to find your phone bill from January, you just need to click the check boxes, next to the January and Phone labels.

Other features include searching for a particular document, sorting and filtering them by names and dates, screen capturing, exporting a document, optical character recognition (OCR) and more. The most interesting part is the fact that eDoc Organizer can be configured to monitor a folder. If you add new documents into a monitored folder, the software will import them automatically.

Pros

The application lets you import and label any type of document. You can use its default labels to organize your bills or you may create and manage new ones. Labels are color coded so you can spot them easier and you can also use them to filter your documents. The folder monitoring feature is also a plus. It spares you from importing files, each time you create new ones.

Cons

It is not possible to create new databases and switch from one to another. eDoc Organizer makes it very easy to manage documents, regardless if they are on your computer or printed on paper. Its flexible features allow you to import, label and find your documents in a very comfortable manner.
